Terms and conditions
These terms govern your use of Semplr, provided by [Legal entity name] ("we"). By using Semplr you agree to them. This document is provided in English; translations, where offered, are for convenience and the English version applies.
Semplr is exam practice, not advice. We do not provide immigration, citizenship, nationality, visa, legal, financial or other professional advice. Nothing on Semplr tells you whether you are eligible for anything, or what any authority requires. Always rely on the official authority or a qualified, regulated adviser. See our disclaimer.
1. The service
Semplr provides practice questions, mock exams and AI-assisted marking for exams set by third parties. Practice questions are written by us. They are not real exam questions, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any authority, exam body or certifying organization.
2. Scores and marking are estimates
Scores and marking are estimates for study purposes only. They are not official results, they don't predict or guarantee an outcome, and they may contain errors. Exam formats, requirements and pass marks can change; check them with the official body before relying on them.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 to create an account and must give a valid email address.
- Keep your password secret; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Semplr to cheat in, or help others cheat in, a real exam;
- copy, scrape, resell or republish our questions or marking;
- overload, probe or attack the service, or get around usage limits;
- submit content that is unlawful, or that contains other people's personal data without permission.
5. Paid exam passes
When paid passes launch, prices are shown before you pay and include VAT where it applies. A pass gives access for the stated period and does not renew automatically. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. Because passes are digital content supplied immediately, you will be asked at checkout to agree that access starts at once and to acknowledge that you then lose the right of withdrawal. This does not affect your other statutory rights, including for faulty digital content.
6. Our content
Questions, explanations, designs and software on Semplr belong to us or our licensors. Exam names belong to their owners and are used only to describe what our material prepares you for. You keep the rights to what you write.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Semplr available and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if a change materially reduces a paid pass you hold, we'll offer a pro-rata refund.
8. Liability
Semplr is a study aid. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on practice scores or marking, for exam results, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Ending
You can stop using Semplr and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [Country whose law governs the terms]. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and may bring claims in its courts.
