ÖIF Integrationsprüfung A2 / B1 — Schreiben und Werte- und Orientierungswissen
Austria's Integrationsprüfung combines a German exam with a test of Werte- und Orientierungswissen. A2 fulfils Modul 1 of the Integrationsvereinbarung; B1 fulfils Modul 2 and is the language proof for Daueraufenthalt – EU and citizenship. Practise the B1 and A2 writing tasks, marked against the ÖIF criteria, and the 18-question values test.

- Written part
- A2: 120 minutes; B1: 140 minutes (Hören, Lesen, Schreiben, then Werte- und Orientierungswissen after a 15-minute break). Oral part: A2 about 10 minutes alone, B1 about 16 minutes in pairs
- B1 writing
- 30 minutes, choose task A or B: a semi-formal or formal e-mail covering four points, at least 100 words; four criteria × 0–5 points, B1 from 15 of 20
- A2 writing
- 25 minutes, choose Thema 1 or 2: an e-mail of about 50 words covering three points (excuse, cancellation, enquiry or complaint); 20 points, 10 to pass
- Values test
- 18 questions in 40 minutes (9 two-option × 2 points, 9 three-option × 3 points); 25 of 45 points to pass; failing it fails the whole Integrationsprüfung
- Fee
- €176 for the Integrationsprüfung A2 or B1 at the ÖIF (Prüfungsordnung, version 01/2024)
